Rush is a one-touch traffic game. Your little blue car drives up a city street that crosses one busy road after another. Hold your finger down to drive and let go to brake. Cars, buses and the odd train stream across every intersection, so you have to pick your gap and go. You can't sit and wait forever either: a bus is right behind you and it is not a patient bus.
How to play Rush
- Hold anywhere on the screen to drive forward. Your car speeds up to cruising speed.
- Let go to brake. You stop quickly, but not instantly, so brake before the stop line.
- Cross each intersection without touching the cross traffic. Every crossing is a point.
- If you're stopped for about three seconds, the bus behind you honks, then rams you. Don't dither.
- When the railway lights flash and the barrier drops, a train is coming. Wait for it.
Tips to get a high score
- Watch the gap, not the car. Start rolling as the last car clears your lane, not after it's gone.
- Two-lane crossings have traffic going both ways. Check the far lane before you commit.
- Clearing crossings without stopping builds a NO BRAKES streak with rising notes.
- A car that passes within a hair of your bumper is worth a CLOSE! bonus point.
- Coins sit in the middle of some intersections. They're free if you make it across.
Daily levels and ghost races
Every day Rush has a new daily level that's the same for everyone. While you play, you race translucent “ghosts” — real replays of other players and your friends. Beat a score, then send a challenge link so a friend can race your ghost on the exact same level.
FAQ
Can I steer?
No. Your car only goes straight up the road. The whole game is when to go and when to stop, controlled by holding and releasing one finger.
Why did the bus crash into me?
The bus behind you waits about three seconds while you're stopped. It honks twice as a warning, then pushes through. Rolling slowly still counts as stopped, so commit to a gap.
How does scoring work?
You get one point for every intersection you cross, plus a bonus point for a close shave, when a car passes right by your bumper and you survive.
Is it free?
Yes. Every Tapamine game is free to play in your browser with no download and no account.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tapamine is built for phones first: portrait, one thumb, and it works offline after your first visit. It also works with a mouse or the spacebar on a computer.
How do challenges work?
After a run, tap “Challenge a friend” to send a link. Your friend plays the exact same level and races your ghost — a replay of your run — to see who wins.
