Evade is a one-button missile dodging game. Your blob pilots a paper plane that never stops flying, seen from above with the camera following along. Holding turns the plane in a tight clockwise circle; letting go flies it straight. Homing missiles launch from all around. They're faster than you but turn much wider, so the trick is to break into a hard turn at the last moment and watch them overshoot. Lure two missiles into each other for a BOOM, collect the stars for coins, and survive as long as you can as the sky fills up. Your score is how many seconds you last after the first launch.
How to play Evade
- Hold anywhere to turn clockwise. Let go to fly straight ahead.
- Missiles chase you. Red arrows on the edge of the screen show ones that are still off screen.
- Turn hard just before a missile reaches you. It can't turn as tightly and flies past.
- Survive as long as you can. Score is seconds since the first missile launched.
Tips to get a high score
- Don't just circle: holding forever keeps you in one spot, and missiles from new directions will catch you.
- Fly straight to gather the missiles behind you in a line, then break. They overshoot together.
- Two missiles that touch blow each other up. Several booms in a row climb in pitch.
- Missiles run out of fuel after a while and fizzle. Sometimes the best move is to keep running.
- A missile passing within a wingspan counts as CLOSE! Close calls in quick succession stack up.
Your plane against the missiles
Holding flies your plane around a full circle in about 1.4 seconds on a tight radius. Missiles start about 30% faster than you, but their tightest circle is almost three times the size of yours. You can't outrun them, but you can always out-turn them.
Later in a run the missiles are over 40% faster and turn tighter, so their circle is only about twice yours. A break that worked in the first minute has to come later and closer once they've sped up.
Each missile carries fuel for about 8.5 seconds early on, dropping to about 7 later. When it runs out, the missile fizzles harmlessly. A missile that overshoots you needs a long loop to come back around, and that loop eats much of its fuel.
How the sky fills up
The first missile launches almost right away. It comes straight at you from the front and flies slower than the rest, so you can practise the break turn on it. Your score starts counting from that launch.
Over the first 70 seconds or so, launches go from one every 4 seconds to nearly one a second, and the limit on missiles in the air rises from 2 to 8. They also get faster and turn tighter over the same stretch.
New missiles always launch just off screen, somewhere ahead of you or off to the side, never from directly behind. So the direction you're facing when a launch happens decides where the next threat comes from. Facing open sky is better than facing the missiles you just dodged.
Booms, close calls and stars
When two missiles touch, both blow up and drop a coin. Besides waiting out their fuel, that's the only way to clear a missile. Booms within 3 seconds of each other chain into BOOM x2, x3 and so on. None of this adds to your score, which is time only.
To set up a boom, fly straight while missiles chase you from different angles. Their paths come together right behind you. Break hard as they arrive, and they often cross into each other.
A missile that comes within about a wingspan and then pulls away counts as CLOSE!, and close calls within 5 seconds of each other stack. Stars are coins too. Up to two float nearby. Grab them on the way, but never turn into a missile's path for one.

FAQ
Why can I only turn one way?
One button, one turn. Since a full clockwise circle takes under two seconds, you can face any direction quickly. Picking when to start and stop the turn is the whole skill.
What do the stars do?
Each star is a coin for your Tapamine bank. They don't add to your time, so grab them only when the sky is clear.
Is it free?
Yes. Every Tapamine game is free to play in your browser with no download and no account.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tapamine is built for phones first: portrait, one thumb, and it works offline after your first visit. It also works with a mouse or the spacebar on a computer.
How do challenges work?
After a run, tap “Challenge a friend” to send a link. Your friend plays the exact same level and races your ghost — a replay of your run — to see who wins.
